Your Garden State Lighthouse Chrysalis Board is seeking the assistance of those butterflies who attend college in New Jersey. Recently, we have received several emails from young adults who experienced Chrysalis in their home state, but now attend a school in New Jersey. They are seeking the fellowship of other butterflies and wish to be in contact with fellow Christians who have been on a flight.

In response to this, and to help our own butterflies stay connected with the community after high school, your Chrysalis Board would like to institute a Chrysalis Ambassadors program. If you attend college in NJ (either a 4 year school or community college) we ask you to prayerfully consider serving in this capacity. Our goal is to have a representative of Chrysalis in every college in the state.

An ambassador would have four responsibilities:

1) Be a point of contact for students from other Chrysalis communities and our own butterflies in their school. As the board receives names of students in a particular college who have attended a flight, we would pass those names on to the ambassador, who could then email the students and let them know they are not the only butterflies on campus.

2) Facilitate reunion groups. The ambassador would schedule a time and place for butterflies to meet weekly during the school year for a short time of prayer and sharing. (We can supply you with reunion group cards if they have been lost).

3) Act as a liaison between students and the Board. You would dispense information, such as dates for upcoming Chrysalis events, as well as supply the Board with names of those in the Chrysalis community on your campus.

4) Explain the Chrysalis experience to those who have not attended. This wouldn't be a formal presentation, but rather sharing Chrysalis in a casual setting.  We recently were given permission to have combined flights/journeys. A journey is the exact same thing as a flight, except the participants are 19-24 years old. The talks and schedule are exactly the same. The tables are assigned so that nobody at a journey table (including the leader) is still in high school.
